The Story Behind Knightly Nails

I’ve been wearing nails since I was 15. I never imagined I’d be doing them myself, let alone building a business around them. I simply loved getting my nails done and seeing a plain, natural-looking nail transformed into a little piece of art — then getting to wear it and receive compliments wherever I went.

But frustratingly, I was forced to stop doing what I loved.

I developed an allergy to nail glue, which unfortunately affected far more than just my nails. It meant I had to step away from many of the beauty treatments and services I loved, and for a while, it felt like I was losing a big part of something that made me feel like myself.

Eventually, I decided to pick up the brush and try it myself. I had to be incredibly mindful of my allergy, but what started as something I needed to figure out for myself quickly became something I fell even more in love with.

I experimented with different lengths, shapes, techniques and media. I shared my journey with my audience, who loved watching me create new designs and seeing what I would come up with next.

And that’s where Knightly Nails really began.

Over time, I started doing other people’s nails and eventually became co-owner of a cosmetic clinic overseeing a team of talented nail techs. But as my businesses grew, I simply didn’t have the time to continue taking clients myself.

I still wanted to create. I still wanted to do nail art. And I still wanted to share that creativity with people.

So Knightly Nails evolved.

Today, Knightly Nails is a collection of custom, handmade press-on nails and nail art colouring books — giving you a way to enjoy the art I love, whether you want to wear it or create it yourself even if you don’t live in the same city!

I saw a gap between mass-produced press-ons and the experience of having a nail artist create something specifically for you.

With Knightly Nails, every set is handmade and customised to you — your shape, your length, your style and your vision. It’s the feeling of having a nail appointment with me, without having to sit in the salon. And because they’re reusable, your favourite set doesn’t have to be a one-time thing.

For those who can’t wear press-ons but still love nail art, I created the colouring books — a way to experience the creativity of Knightly Nails through colouring, scrapbooking and creating your own designs.

Knightly Nails has grown far beyond what I originally imagined, but the heart of it remains the same:
